The west coast is particularly famous for its seafood and Bohuslän has great fishing opportunities, you can even catch lobster. Fishing in the coastal waters of the archipelago, is an angler’s dream.
SEAFISHING
Toms båtturer in Nösund and Halla’s Båt & Fiske in Edshultshall organise fishing- and boat tours. Try fishing for catfish, cod, hake, mackerel, beak, crayfish and sea trout in the Skagerrak Sea. Or visit Måsekär with a preserved lighthouse far out in the Skagerrak or look at the seals. All tours depart from the harbor in Edshultshall, 5 minutes walking distance from Lådfabriken. The tours go if the weather permits of course.
Lobster fishing: a world-class experience
Come and stay with us during the lobster season, starting each year on the first Monday after September 20. Catching a lobster and preparing it is an unbeatable world-class experience. So put on your warm clothes and good shoes and embark on the ‘Angola’ of skipper Erland.
You can borrow security equipment and fishing trousers. You will help pull out the traps of the ocean, empty them, hold a lobster and thus learn how to fish the black gold of the sea. The trip goes daily between September 22 och November 30 and lasts 2.5 to 3 hours and costs 1,295 SEK (excl. 6% VAT).

Oyster picking in Grebbestad
Lotta from Klemming’s oysters, dives for wild oysters in Grebbestad and the Fjällbacka archipelago. The only permitted way to harvest wild oysters in Sweden. The oysters are sold to restaurants and fish shops around Sweden.
Lotta offers guests to become part of her work for a day in the form of a nature and food experience at her absolute favorite oyster banks outside Grebbestad. She teaches everything she knows about her work and the oysters. After that, it is up to the guests to fish out the oysters using water-binoculars and waders. She prepares a seafood lunch over an open fire and with unlimited oysters that she caught herself. The season is September to June.
